| i've had about 4 welders, one im using at the mo i've actually converted back to using no gas as actually get a tidier weld with it on no-gas setting and flux cored wire, plus i got fed up with running out of gas lol! | |

| lol i was readin a thread on ed38 and one of the lads was using a gasless welder, and everyone was saying thats why he had bad welds, he needed a gas one my bad | |

| id heard shit reviews too tbh, but being the pikey bolt stealing mechanic i am, ran out of gas one day and used a roll of flux cored i had lying around and have never changed back! | |

| personnaly i prefer using gas as thats what i use more often than not, i think it could be the case of what you welding - how good your welder is - and how good you are at welding that will make the biggest difference. TIG is good just expensive to start with amd quite difficult in comparision to mig. | |

| 100 amp is one of the smallest i think it would more than l;ikly to be fine for thin sheet metal and a few some jobs but nothing mega. Id say go for aim for 100 amps or more and get one that runs gas, as you will then have the option of using gasless wire. | |
