Mk1 golf TD euro look

mk1 golf 2 door 1.9 TD Euro style
Its only  reason for sale is due to needing funds to sort out our vw t25 camper,
I have lots of service history for the car dating right back to 1983 that also includes the original purchase invoice for the car from Lightfoot's garage LTD in carlisle, dated 6/10/1983, history is from the first service on 9/12/1983 up until 20/2/1998  where it was parked up until i bought it back in february 2010, i bought it as a project because the lad who owned it before me had stripped it ready for it to have some bodywork done and lost interest in it.
it rolled out the factory as a 1.3 4 speed driver, i did get this engine with it and was intending to refit it but i stumbled across a vento that was breaking for spares and thought it would be a good conversion for the golf, it runs very well, returns about 55 to the gallon and drives very nice. it was resprayed in ford frozen white about 9 weeks ago at a local body-shop to a high standard, he also carried out the repair to the drivers rear arch and replaced the front panel for me. its totally original inside, original interior, original parcel shelf original dash and has never been fitted with a stereo! clocks are original the only extra is the boost gauge fitted into the center console, its also fitted with factory FOG lamps NOT spot lamps!!

Since i have had it it's had
new front panel
new bonnet
drivers rear arch
new brake and fuel lines throughout (rubber flexi's inc)
new front bottom arms
new rear wheel cylinders
gti front hubs inc brakes and calipers (new pads)
good second hand tailgate (badge holes smoothed off but kept boot lock)
13 inch 8J weller steel wheels (with yoko 539's on front and dunlops on rear)
raceland coil-overs
tinted rear windows
1.9 TD AAZ engine conversion
5 speed gearbox conversion
side exit exhaust
crystal cross-hair headlamps
all red rear lamps
RARE 80's retro trail blazer
RARE zender wide arches painted on jet black
GTi big lower splitter
tow-bar
Boost gauge

there are a few bits that do need some attention though!!
lower side strips need sourcing and fitting (i do have some but there very corroded so i haven't fitted them)
because the fuel pump has been adjusted and the boost wound up there is a manual over ride switch for the cooling fan (just in-case it ever gets hot) i took it to santa-pod raceway (400miles round trip) and fitted it before i left just in-case it got hot in traffic, never needed to use it but i have left it there

Speedo reads wrong due to the low profile tires on 13 inch wheels

i will miss this car but the camper needs more money throwing at it than first thought so something has to go, i have no doubt that the new owner will be as happy with as i am, i wouldn't hesitate to jump in it and travel to the other side of the country and back!! (the santa pod trip was its maiden voyage out!!)

 Forget to mention, before the engine was fitted it had a new LUK clutch kit, new timing belt kit and a fuel filter. also it has had the front door cards flocked, and it is fitted with front door pockets with mountings for front speakers. slight bit of bolster wear on the drivers seat, the rev counter doesn't work due to now being fitted with the diesel engine
