20v Turbo S3

another quick update.

had a problem with one of my lights flickering on and off. replaced the bulb and the problem is still there so going to replace the ballast. this is a bumper off job.



bumper finally off and me taking 5mins rest after beating the crap out of it to get it off.



better image and you can see the new Turbo intake pipe i fitted. the old one was sucking itself inwards when on boost and not letting any air into the turbo. car kept cutting out when hammering it. the new re-enforced one stop this.



and we have lights



picture of the offending item grrrr. this was a 35w ballast but ended up replacing both ballasts with 55w versions, much brighter lights.

Cool car, quite a detailing collection you have there, but shouldn't you use a wash mitt rather than a sponge? It is a lot kinder to your paint.

GJH - ye i do have a wash mitt, think it was i the wash at the time. sponge is for the wheels.

asbo - ye quad is great fun, its a 350cc yamaha racing quad. its light and pretty rapid.

I'd love a quad. I had a go on a childs one and it was epic fun

doh, wash mitt is in the picture. were the sponge is go right one to the polishing pad then up, its the white maguires wash mitt. i left it in some water and it had frozen up. oops

Fitted some aero wipers today. looks much better and cleaner on the front end





and a quick pic of my wheels which i put on last year but havent taken a picture of. There 18" Audi RSTT resprayed in a metalic steal colour.

ye aero wipers are much better, had them on the mk4, need to get some for the mk3 now

I like the colour of the wheels too!

ye i wish i had done them sooner and at £7 for the pair delivered was a bargin.

£7 thats a bargain, dunno why i havent bought them before!!

ye universal fit from the bay. just get the size you need. mine were 21" and 19"

got em on the e30.. so much better in rain its unreal!

Cleaned my headlights today. They were a bit hazzy and gone yellow so I sanded them down using wet n dry, 600, 800 then 1200. Then went over it with a machine polisher. They have come up really well but it got a bit dark to take any pics will do it tomorrow tho.

Think i need 2 invest in sum aero blades its anoying at 90mph wen ur wipers lift off the screen and u cant see lol
