| right im just wondering on this one, ive got a split or crack on my manifold, its beeing welded up now so its fine but just wondering if exhaust heat wrap thing would stop or help this not happen again?? | |

| afaik, heat wrapping is only to keep underbonnet temps down

| I presume whats gonna cause cracking, is quick changes in temperature from cold/hot and visa versa. | |

| exhaust wrap is more likely to make manifolds crack and decay over time, they keep the heat inside the pipes so the manifold itself heats up, this can help with keeping gas velocities up, but it can also cause exhaust valve burning, along with the risk of very hot spots if the wrap isn't done perfectly. | |

| yeah s/steel 4-2-1 got that heat wrapped ,thermo tec ive got it seems a good wrap too can almost keep ur hand on it | |
