Dodgy facebook message

Has anybody elses seen this message:

Dear facebook members facebook is suposse to be closing down March 15 it is recently becoming very overpopulated. There have been many members complaning that facebook is becoming very slow. Records show that the reason is that there are many active facebook members and,on the other side many new facebook members.
We will be sending this message around to see if members are active or not. If you are active please send to at least 15 other users using copy+paste to show that you are still active. *Those who do not send this message withine 2 weeks will be deleted without hesitation to create more space*
Send the message to all your friends and to show me that you are still active and you will not be deleted

Is it legit or bollocks?

Shouts bollocks to me. If facebook were to contact its memmebers it would appear at the top of the homepage feed, plus im pretty sure they can see if our accounts are active without us sending pointless messages between each other.

yes, a company worth billions of dollars is just going to turn off overnight? it's a fake, comes round every few weeks.

They know if you're active, they know when you last logged on. And if they did need to do something like that, they would send a message directly from facebook admin and get you to press a button or something
