| Do these actualy exist in the UK?
I've read up about them, an apparent 100mpg with 14seconds to 100kmph, and £30 tax a year. Sounds too good to be true tbh, but I cant seem to find any on ebay etc.

| AFAIk there wasn't a 3L in the uk, can import them from the continent but they're pretty rare, would be looking at around 10k eur. | |

| Why in a country where fuel is so expensive would you not bring out a 100mpg car?
Seems so perfect for cheap motoring, the 1.7 is insurance group 3, so the 1.2 would be cheap as fuck to insure. The diesel ones seem to be going for 2k+ at the moment though so a bit pricey.

| 100mpg will be in the best conditions, driving at like 30mph. FYI there is a car back in the 80's that would do 100mpg but would also do like 150mph as well. Will try and find the name of it. Best bet if your looking for economy is go for something like a pug 306 tdi. Drive it right and you'll get say 60mpg, so although there is a difference of like 40mpg, you would need to drive like 20,000 miles before you actualy started to save any money, when comparing the purchase price of the two cars. Someone in work has a 3 seriess 2.0 diesel and can get over 75mpg in that. | |

| Its just that my gf loves Lupos, not that we can afford one yet anyway lol, but when the price comes down and were earning better money I'd have liked the idea of a 1.2 instead of a 1.7 which does less MPG and is a lot slower coz its got no turbo. | |

| polo bluemotion is damn expensive still, looked at the bluemotions before i bought the bora, lovely if you've got tons of £ and drive serious distance, pointless spending if you don't tho. | |

| The 1.4 is the most uneconomic one to get though! But then the 1.7 is far too slow

| WSA told me saxo 1.5s are good on diesel too, this forum has become real eco friendly all of a sudden, I should buy a hummer to even it out a bit. | |

| Well its not like many of us have big money for thirsty cars - and the way fuel is going its not really any surprise. Only reason I got my mx5 is because its a RWD thats cheap on fuel, I just happened to fall in love with it too. | |
