| Hi guys, new on here but been working on my car for a year now. Stumbled across this site through google images accidentally, so thought I'd make myself an account It's probably a bit different to your average car on here... I'll let the photos do the talking: nice photo of how she was after a modest lowering, and getting crashed once manky bed 54hp 1.6D coming out Donor golf 1.9TDi bought, and engine removed. since been stripped down, and the shell scrapped bed went Made some wider arches bay smoothing some goodies from the US more rust inner sills turbo upgrade Garrett GT2052V VNT, should handle 35psi pretty well. Ad it cost £61 arches cut off to fit Golf hillclimbing bodykit. rear arches had to be cut and widened rear axle fabbed arches again air ride on at the front rear arches on 'filling the arches' that's a 5.5j et38 steel wheel, mounted back to front TIG welded triangulated 4 link rear suspension That's it for now pretty much, looking to get the engine block shotblasted next, then i can start re-building. Sputter bearings on the conrods, ported, polished and valve re-seated head, seals, gaskets, and possibly big end bearings replaced, .240mm (up from .189, std upgrade is .216) injector nozzles on a land rover 2.5L 300TDi fuel pump, source/make some manifolds, stage 3 clutch, etc etc target, 200hp, ~380nm I've a hell of a lot to go yet, but hopefully you'll see this around sometime next year -Henk | |

| thanks, i keep changing my mind so it's going to look like a bit of all sorts of styles, but general direction is the hillclimbing motorsporty theme. Might even sticker it up yet, and considering a cage, both for safety and for the theme thank you, if it's the one in your profile pic it looks sweet! It's an AHU, same as the 1Z found in the MK3 golf/vento/passats | |

| it will be RWD now, audi longitudinal gearbox for a true mid mounted engine, all in the bed on an audi 80 subframe, w/ double wishbone suspension, somehow mounted to the rest of the caddy! IVA test here i come eh... Possibly some cheeky sideways when it's done too modified a subtle splitter to go on the cabrio bumper not everyone's cup of tea i know how low? The subframe i'll be using, still in it's stock form Oh and bought some wheels too, Kerscher Carmona, 16x7.5 and 16x9 for £161 looking forward to mocking them up in the arches. got to import them first though... | |

| thanks guys, i've got the build in a few places, try and keep them somewhat up to date. not done an awful lot lately, shitty weather. probably going to remould the front wings in fibreglass and raise the arches up a few inches. probably going back to coils allround too you can see the line of where the arch should go up to after threw the front end back together engine resting in place with wishbones and driveshafts rubbish photo to show the weight distribution | |
